Question:
Answer:
The purpose of the 4" wide ultra-soft body, is entirely
for the comfort of the horse, the materials are very soft, (far too soft
to attach the buckles to) it spreads the load over a larger area than a normal
girth, so like a broad, flat panel in a saddle, there is less pressure per
square inch of girth area.
The Overlay part, is the separate piece that the
buckles are attached to; this is made from J & E Sedgwick's best bridle butt
for it's suppleness and strength, with rollers on the buckles to save wear on
your girth straps. The soft body part spreads and cushions the load.
The two parts are kept securely together by the
shaped keepers. the girth straps go through the integral slots above the
buckles, through the buckles and then tuck into the sliding keepers to keep
everything neat and tidy.
Question:
Wind Sucking
I have a horse that wind sucks
and chews my fences. Do you have any kind of product to alleviate this
problem.
Thanking you,
Answer:
I'm sorry, I don't have anything of that nature, I also have horses that have
tried to eat my field shelter!
I tried all sorts of things (nothing that could do any harm of course) to stop
them including hot chili sauce!!! They loved it! (horses love Spices!)
Have you made sure that your horse has the correct nutrition, I.e., do you
give it a broad spectrum vitamin & mineral supplement or feed Balancer,
has it got constant access to a salt lick and plenty of fibre;
there is the possibility that it suffers from ulcers, in which case, your vet
could advise treatment.
Since adjusting my 2 horses diets, they have been much better and if they
start doing it again, I usually find that I've not given them enough fibre or
weather conditions have changed etc. I know this is not the same as wind
sucking, but I hope it may be of some help to you.
